LE 8.2 is prototyping the new Slice add-on which monitors Kodi and plays appropriate LED patterns based on the detected events. If feedback in 8.2 is positive we will add support for user-configurable patterns to the add-on for the 9.0 release. I have also modified the default keyboard.xml so that up/down while playing full-screen video (movies or tv shows), music, and live-tv acts as volume up/down instead of previous/next track or channel. This was partially done in the 8.0 image but mimics the behaviour of an AppleTV remote which is more day-to-day usable. You can always override the default remote config with your own /storage/.kodi/userdata/keymaps/keyboard.xml file.
