How can I stop my S905X from powering off when the TV goes off.

    Hi Everyone,

    Hopefully a quick and easy one, but so far I have not been able to find the answer.

    I have an AMLOGIC S905X

    Aarch64 Processor

    Running Kodi 17.3 off the internal memory.

    Everything works really well, with the exception of the power.

    Despite this unit having its own power supply, it switches off when the TV goes off.

    I'm assuming there is a setting to stop this, but I can't find it.

    Annoyingly, when the TV comes back on, it stays powered off, and I have to physically reconnect the power cable to fix this.

    Does anyone have a solution for this?

    Have a look in settings > system > Input > peripherals

    Is your cec adapter enabled?

    If it is either disable it or take a look in settings for the setting when the tv is switched off.

    All of the above.

    Looks like CEC would not disable, which I hadn't noticed before.

    Anyhow - set the TV off bit to ignore, and everyone's a winner!
