Hello
Since years i use Openelec on normal old PC with Linux as Multimedia System and it works like a charm. With the exeption of little problems with some addons. But for me as software engineer no problem. And I have to say, that i use some black addons to look the newest flicks for free. If you use black copys only for personal use, in Switzerland you don't have problems with law.
Addons = Python. Python is easy to use and there are a lot of great programmers on github that solve problems or help you to solve problems.
I read the publications of the Openelec developers and their problems with the development process.
After the main programmers left Openelec and fork the Opensource code to the new Libreelec system i was a little bit confused and decide to wait and see whats going on.
Openelec brought some Updates to 8.0.4. Libreelec brought some Updates to 8.0.2.
Libreelec says that the system is fully compatible with Openelec.
My question: Can i migrate Openelec 7.0.1 with the normal update file from Libreelec 8.0.2. ? (Yes or No or maybe with problems)
Thanks for your answers in advance.
Cheers
Roli
