irrecord consistently hangs (8.0.2e w/ lirc)

Happy to see that lirc support has been introduced, but I am having issues while attempting to record IR signals from my remote. During the irrecord procedure the recording consistently hangs at the same point as you can see in the attached screenshot. I have to Control-C out to stop the process.

Here is the command I'm using to initiate the remote control recording:

irrecord -d /dev/lirc0 /storage/myremote.txt

Hardware: Nexbox A95X (S905X, 1GB RAM)

Libreelec 8.0.2d installed on SD Card (using the lirc device tree, also confirmed that meson-ir module is loaded via lsmod)

I've tried the irrecord procedure after upgrading from 8.0.2c to 8.0.2d as well as a fresh install of 8.0.2d with the same results.

Please let me know what information I can provide to help debug.

Just upgraded to 8.0.2e and am experiencing the same issues with irrecord as I did with 8.0.2d.

Can anyone from the community provide any guidance on what info/logs incan provide to help debug?
