Try editing the conf file in /storage/.config
ok, edited /storage/.config/samba.conf and added the lines:
[global]
min protocol = NT1
This seems not to work, as the line isn't shown in /etc/samba/smb.conf
So I was able to change the file, unfourtnately it doesn't work. I think I've to upgrade Samba Version. Is it possible, and how?
You're mistakenly thinking to edit /etc which you shouldn't as it's read-only. When you have /storage/.config/samba.conf it will take priority. You'll need LibreELEC 8.2 or master for SMB2/3.
Hi,
thanks for your reply. I managed to edit /storage/.config/samba.conf. Unfourtnately the changes doesn't work, maybe the sambaversion within LE 8.0.2 is buggy?
I'm currently running on 8.0.2 on a RPI 3, Where can I download LE8.2 in order to get SMBv2 running?
Thanks a lot?
It's not released yet, you would need to build yourself. There are community builds that has samba4 like mine or Milhouse's.
ok, where can I download yours or milhouses's?
It's not that hard to Google: Milhouse builds for Raspberry Pi
