Frquent full system freezes

Since 8.? I was getting freezes while watching movies where it would pause and then after 5 seconds or so fast forward to catch up, this would happen every hour or so. In 8.0.2 I now get full system freezes very frequently every 20 minutes or so. A freeze will now usually last around 2 minutes, during this time the screen simply freezes, my keyboard becomes unresponsive and the unit even stops responding to pings.

I'm running Generic.X86_64 on an Xstreamer / CPU: Intel Atom CPU D525 / GPU: ION/PCIe/SSE2

Let me know how I am able to provide more detail, I'm not a guru but am comfortable with ssh etc.

No support for systems with banned addons installed. They are usually also the reason for many Kodi hiccups.
