Skip time editing in Kodi

I just want to edit the default times for skipping forward and backward and maybe some other commands.
I've got a wireless keyboard remote type controller if that makes any difference.

You can (de)select a number of skip steps in the Kodi GUI itself.
If you want to have different step times altogether, you will have to dive into Kodi's source code.

No idea what a wireless remote keyboard has to do with all this.

Ummm you can change the skip steps in advancedsettings.xml. Skip steps - Official Kodi Wiki
