Running the latest software and Kodi 17.1 on my S805 MXQ.
I'm having stuttering playback/buffer issues (believe the stutter is caused by the buffer) when streaming (doesn't matter if SD or HD).
It's connected via WIFI and routing through a VPN.
I have already downloaded Ares and ran the weak but that didn't fix it. The box previously had no buffer issue when on Android/Kodi.

Seems like this is only happening when viewing 1080p streams.
Try hard wiring temporarily, it could be the source. Or get an addon like Indigo to test your speed.
You say streaming. Streaming what? From where?

Sorry not, it's not a buffer issue but rather a stuttering play back.
Editing the advancedsettings.xml for the buffer fixed the buffer issue.
