DVD playback, black screen

    Hey all, fantastic build BTW :)

    I have 1 issue though, when I go to playback a DVD, I get sound but no video.

    I can see the menus sort of.

    settings:

    • Laptop running output to HDMI, laptop screen disabled with xrandr --output LVDM1 --off
    • screen set to 1080i by xrandr --output HDMI1 --mode 1920x1080i
    • I have set Kodi to a refresh rate of 29.98, I also tried 30
    • I have set the Graphics buffers in Kodi to 2, the default 3 was also tried (Intel Core i3 with built in Graphics)


    All Videos play without issue unless it is a DVD, 3 different DVDs tried.

    as an extra bit of info, the DVDs worked with Windows on the same system, before I binned the windows for LibreElec.

    Maybe your xrandr command is incorrect, with the HDMI connected and the second monitor/TV powered on can you post the output of;

    Did you create an autostart.sh file or your sending the xrandr command when needed?

    Found out I was being a bonehead, I disabled all hardware acceleration.

    I am using the xrandr commands in the autostart.sh

    I have also since found out that my TV supports full 1080p at 60hz so the xrandr file was modified

    Now.everything is working great
