Udate/upgrade from testbuild to 8.0.0 Release

Hi,
I'm using a RPi 3 with the Milhouse Libreelec Version #1119.

Can I update/upgrade to the Version 8.0.0 by copying the LibreELEC-RPi2.arm-8.0.0.img.gz to the /storage/.update Folder?
Or do I need to reinstall Libreelec from the beginning?

Yes, simply copy/paste the correct .tar file in the Update folder and reboot.
FYI, updating LE using .tar files works a little bit faster compared to .img.gz .
As always, making backups is always a good thing.
