My Lirc setup has stopped working, after upgrading from LE 7.0.3 to 7.95.2/3.
I'm running a widely used HP OVU400102/71 USB Infrared Receiver + Veriozon/Motorola/Sony remote.
(Sony RM-VLZ620)
I have a custom lircd.conf. It has been working perfectly before, on Rasp1, Rasp2, and still working on Ubuntu 16.04 LTS.
Before I had in autostart.sh:
killall lircd
ir-keytable -p lirc
lircd --device=/dev/lirc0 /storage/.config/lircd.conf.motorola
Not working now, so I tried:
Uncommented it, and renamed lircd.conf.motorola to lircd.conf - reboot.
Same same.
I've noticed that, when I press a button twice quickly, it "wakes up something", and most buttons work.
If I don't do anything, for a minut or so, I have to press the same button (f.ex up/down) twice, to "wake it up".
Still, the f.ex "Guide" button don't work as it used to. (no reponse)
$irw - do not show a thing, when it should be active, but don't respond in remote keypresses.
$irw - shows most, if it's "awake". Still no "Guide" button.
Everything works with Yatse android remote. But...
Here's some logs.
I do not have another SD-Card to test on, sorry.
And "mceusb 1-1.3:1.0: Error: urb status = -71" from dmesg, are on both Rasp1 + Rasp2 now.
I don't know if it was there before, since I never noticed a problem.
dmesg: ATNH
lircd.conf: hPVO
lsusb: WHUW
Hope this helps another than me also.
