Dataplicity

Hey guys!

I'm trying to make a system where I can control several of pi's over the internet.
I found Dataplicity which make this come true.. but, I'm unable to install it.

It seems like LibreELEC is unable to download and save the data when executing the command line offered by Dataplicity.
Is this even possible with LibreELEC?

I looked at Dataplicity Developer Hub probably briefly and if their install python script is similar they are trying to write things to locations under /opt that don't exist on LE so yes, it will fail. Modify the python script to use somewhere on /storage and it should work okay.

Just don't know how to rewrite to python since it's downloaded from a server and then installed.
Any Ideas?

I can't script python either, but I can open the file in a text editor and look for /file/system/paths under /opt and experimentally change them to something under /storage. It's probably not a hard change.

Hi,
To get dataplicity working on other systems there are couple of requirements:

Systemd init

Supervisor installed on the system

Python installed on the system

Write permissions to directories: /etc/supervisor, /opt, /var/log

I've started looking at getting dataplicity on libreELEC as well lately. Will I have to compile a fresh image from source to satisfy the above or do you have development images of libreELEC that have read and write permissions and maybe some package management ?
