Hello, i can get a cheap S905X3 Box and want to use Libreelec.
On the CE Forums somebody said that it will work.
All the AMLogic S8xx and S9xx chipset series running linux based LibreELEC and CoreELEC Kodi are good for high quality full motion deinterlacing.
The latter chipsets, the A311D, S922X, S905X2 / X3 have slightly better quality deinterlacing vs the older ones.
You will have no issues with deinterlacing using CE Kodi.

It will not work with LE. HW deinterlacing require Amlogic BSP kernel.
I've been experimenting with implementing deinterlace support. Nothing positive to report yet though 
The mainline kernel codebase that LE uses lacks hardware deinterlacing on all hardware. Kodi implements bwdiff software decode which is tolerable for normal TV shows, but it's not so great for sports and anything with fast panning shots.
The vendor codebase implements it, but that's CE and not LE.
