[x86-64] Nvidia GTX 550 graphic card

  • Hi, I’m having a problem loading LibreELEC to run from a USB flash drive. The computer is an Intel i5 with 64 GB of RAM. After I type run, my TV screen turns black. I waited a few minutes but nothing happens.

    I tried both versions:

    • LibreELEC-Generic.x86_64-12.2.1.img
    • LibreELEC-Generic-legacy.x86_64-12.2.1.img

the Generic AMD/Intel and Generic AMD/Intel/NVIDIA builds, but the result is the same. Any help would be appreciated.

  • Try without the 15 yrs old card.

Nvidia officially dropped driver support for this card in 2018.

According to the requirements, it should work

    Detailed Requirements

    • RAM: 1GB is the strict minimum. Running add-ons smoothly may require more depending on your setup. [1]
    • Storage: A minimum of 4GB to 8GB is needed for the OS and cache. Larger media should be stored externally, and you should install LibreELEC directly to a drive (HDD, SSD, or SD card) rather than running it off a thumb drive for optimal performance. [1, 2, 3]
    • CPU & GPU (Generic x86-64): Requires an x86-64 processor. For basic HD playback, older processors will suffice. For 4K resolution at 60Hz and 10-bit HDR, you'll need modern integrated graphics (Intel Apollo/Kaby Lake or newer, or Vega-based AMD APUs) to handle hardware decoding.
  • LE12.2 ships with the Nvidia driver version 575.64.05 which only supports Geforce series 700 and newer.

Sorry, your card is way too old.

Just remove it and use the integrated Intel graphics and LE should work fine.

    so long,

    Hias
