No sound over DisplayPort to HDMI cable [Lenovo tiny PC]

I’m a first-time user of libreELEC.

I installed it successfully on a Lenovo ThinkCentre M710q Tiny PC. This is connected to an old Sony Bravia TV using a DisplayPort to HDMI cable.

When I play a video file, the sound comes from the Lenovo’s speaker. Very quietly.

Any suggestions as to how to get the sound to the TV? I can’t see any options in the settings menu for either LibreELEC or the Sony.
