Jellyfin server issue

Sort of at the point of giving up. On my RPi 4, the Jellyfin addon hickuped and supposedly lost videos. Via SSH, I confirmed the videos in question were still vaid. Furthermore, when accessed by Kodi, they play correctly. So running down the rabbit hole, I ended with uninstalling Jellyfin and all of it's config. Then doing a fresh install of the Jellyfin Addon. At this point, I am unable to log into the jellyfin server as root. Jellyfin keeps on giving me errors. When I select the server icon, I get this error: We're unable to connect to the selected server right now. Please ensure it is running and try again. (even after rebooting the RPi and confirming via SSH that Jellyfin is up and running). When I select Add Server and input the IP address of the Jellyfin, I type in 'root' and the password. Jellyfin gives me this error: Invalid Username or Password. Please try again. The Use Quick Connection gives me a number but no information on how or where to enter the number. Help Please!
