OneForAll URC 7145 remote control

  • Hello,

I'm trying to set up an IR receiver in LibreELEC Kodi, but the buttons on my remote control are not responding.

    Hardware:

    • OneForAll URC 7145 remote control
    • Flirc USB IR receiver (connected via USB)
    • (Also tried with Logitech Harmony IR — same issue)

    What I've tried:

    1. Installed Flirc USB in LibreELEC
    2. Settings → System → Input → "Peripheral input devices" enabled
    3. Settings → System → Input → "Attached controllers" — Flirc USB is listed and set to "Active"
    4. Restarted Kodi
    5. Created various remote.xml configurations

    The problem:

    • My remote buttons do NOT respond in Kodi
    • This was the same before and after enabling Flirc
    • Changes to remote.xml have no effect

    My questions:

    • How do I properly enable IR support in LibreELEC?
    • Do I need to install additional drivers/add-ons?
    • Is this a kernel issue?

    Thank you for your help!

  • Configure the OneForAll to behave like an IR6/MCE remote. Configure the flirc reciever to use the Kodi profile and go through each button of the profile to map what the remote sends for that button to what the receiver sees. Kodi should then work using the MCE remote profile without needing any XML fiddling. It's a PEBKAC issue not a kernel issue.
