Flirc remote not working

My Flirc (2nf gen) USB remote just does not register any input. Not even direction keys.

I successfully set up my Flirc USB remote with the official app. It updated the firmware, too. It works on my Manjaro Desktop.
Connecting it to my Raspberry Pi 4 in any combination -directly -via hub -usb-extension does not help.
changing input language on kodi/libreeelec to en(us) -or- de/German does not help.
Installing the Flirc add-on does not help.
When I ssh into my libreeelec and do "lsusb" it shows up: "Bus 001 Device 006: ID 20a0:0006 Clay Logic flirc"

If you run "flirc_util" does it see hardware attached? - are you able to record key-presses, e.g. flirc_util record enter

It won't be unless you install the "flirc_util" add-on from the LE repo and then logout/login over SSH.

I don't see the errors reading firmware/version that you do when running flirc_util, e.g.

I'd suggest contacting flirc support as they know their hardware better than we do.
