[x86-64] Error in mount_flash give no GUI

  • Hi

Yesterday, I installed LibreELEC-Generic.x86_64-12.2.0.img.gz on a DELL OPTIPLEX 3060 MICRO on an internal NVME without any problems. Everything worked perfectly, including the installation of extensions. Today, I started up the mini PC and got the following error message:

Error in mount_flash: mount common: Could not mount UUID=FFB5-C63A ***

Starting debugging shell for boot step: mount_flash... type exit to quit ###

With a Linux live USB, I can see the partitions on the NVME. What is happening? Can the boot be ‘repaired’?

I am willing to start all over again, but if the problem keeps coming back, it's not viable...

  • Connect a USB keyboard when it drops to the initramfs debug shell and you can run console commands and poke around. Check the system log for error messages. See if you can manually mount the required boot/disk partitions and then run "boot" to continue. It has failed for a reason ..

  • Then nothing is probed and visible to the kernel; hence GUIDS cannot be found and boot failed.

Have a look in dmesg. If you want us to comment, copy/paste the entire log to pastebin.
