i have 2 spinning drives by sata on a biostar a68n hooked up to the tv by hdmi. no external speakers. while watching movies, i'm getting intermittent stuttering every now and then. usually twice a day just randomly. it happens in the middle of watching any video. it will freeze for a second then it fast forwards to catch back up. here is the log it gave me. we were hit by lighting recently so i wouldn't dismiss it being hardware related.

The Kodi log isn't useful (not a debug log) and mostly informs that you are playing pirated media. The kernel section of the logs is more useful and suggests the drive you are storing your stolen media on is in the process of surrendering to the gods and will not be long on this earth:
