We're in a new home and have 2 new smart tv's. We bought Roku's cause I always thought the interface was easy to use compared to others. Later I was able to get my trusty Kodi PC hooked up to the family room setup as well and I still dig using the Kodi myself. The family likes to use it as a media center to play all of our own content without commercial interruptions. Recently the wife asked if I could get Kodi in the bedroom too. I know I can but I'm not sure the best way to do it. I'd like something small form factor like a hdmi stick or something. What do think I'd get the best experience on for using playing our media mainly?
1. Raspberry Pi LibreElec Install
2. Sideloading Kodi on the Roku TV itself ( I think thats possible now)
3. Buying a different android based smart TV to install Kodi app
4. Any other options I'm not aware of?
Thanks all!

1. Raspberry Pi 5 boards are a small and well supported device for LE use.
2. I've never heard of Kodi being sideloaded on Roku things (but then I don't have any interest in Roku so..)
3. Android HDMI sticks are popular for running Kodi, if you like or can tolerate Android.
4. Android smart TV's are smart as long the the OS is maintained (sometimes yes, sometimes no).
5. You can run Kodi natively on modern WebOS (LG) TV's now, although it requires some developer mode hacking.
This forum is going to be rather limited to LE oriented ideas and opinions though. The more popular home for "best thing for Kodi" type threads is the the Kodi forum.

I'm kinda leaning towards a raspberry pi at this time. I'm not a huge fan of any of the smart tv's honestly. I'm concerned with their snooping on me. I'm pretty sure all of them are doing it to some extent.
