If I have a video paused, the visual screen saver kicks in but the TV never turns off. I do have the CEC setting to turn off the TV enabled. If no video is paused, the TV does turn off as expected. My workaround is to use the turnoff screensaver for now, but I was wondering why a paused video would break CEC's ability to turn off the tv.
This issue is also confirmed by another user in my initial support thread here:
It looks like this https://github.com/xbmc/xbmc/issues/24627 bug in Kodi a little bit, but it was fixed in Beta 21. So I would expect it to have been included, unless there was a patch to revert it for use here.
