[Remote Control] Xbox One Remote Programming

I'm not an idiot but I am just returning to kodi on non android platform and this really shouldn't be so damned hard but for the life of me I can't figure out how to do this....

I have this xbox one compatible remote (see pic) connected via GPIO IR detector to PI5 running Libreelec and it works out of the box as they say it should.

At present when i press the 'Menu' button it kicks off PVR (which I don't have) - from the digging i've done with ir_tables I believe the button is actually mapped to KEY_EPG

I would like to reprogram that button to act as the context menu button (long press on OK doesn't seem to work)

I'd really appreciate a step by step guide if possible - tried keymap editor, the IR pages on the wiki and I just cant work out what needs changing where - really shouldnt be this hard to remap a remote button.

Any help appreciated

really don't understand why the admins decided to move this to hardware - its not a hardware issue but hey ho.

Create this /storage/.kodi/userdata/remote.xml file:
