I have been using LE 11 on a RPi 5B for several months successfully. I just purchased a RPi 5B 2GB board and wished to also run LE 11 on it. The new board will absolutely not take the OS at all. I even tried the latest V 12.0.1 and it crashed (on three separate attempts) during the initial screen/set up pages. I've tried all of the reasonable checks and cross-checks including trying different SD cards, same and different HDMI cables, power supplies between the two devices and it just will NOT load any version of LE at all. I did try a different SD card to run Raspberry Pi OS (formerly Raspian) and it worked fine. Can't figure it out. Is it possible it's a bad board or is there something obvious about the RPi 5B 2GB boards that I'm missing?

Because of some needed changes in mesa drivers you need a recent nightly build for th 2GiB version. This model was going public after 12.0.1 has been released.
I assume it looks like here:Thread[RPi5 2GB] Scrambled Display on Sony Bravia X90L
Hey, folks.
Please be patient with me as I barely pay attention to any of tech around TVs, variants of HDMI, variants of 4K/8K, etc. We are simple folks who just want to watch a digitized collection of our old movies.
I have a Bravia X90L series (55") and I just picked up a Pi5 CanaKit with all of the bells-and-whistles to double-sided tape a LibreELEC media center to the back of the TV over the fireplace. The version of LibreELEC is recent -- whatever came out of the business end of rpi-imager…wizardly_jenningsOctober 10, 2024 at 9:50 PM -

Okay, thanks so much for the response. Problem solved
Cheers!
