Does for anyone timeshift works in version Tvheadend 4.2 from libreelec repo?
I know it was working in older version that have Milhouse compiled in OpenELEC but in latest builds it does not.

Does for anyone timeshift works in version Tvheadend 4.2 from libreelec repo? With Tvheadend 4.0 and before timeshift was never working reliable.
With Tvh 4.1.1000+ it works now the first time ever (4.1.1945 in our repo)! Not perfect yet but at least useable. -

Hmm strange did a fresh install without configuration present in addon_data with latest nightly build and there is no web interface.
If using the one from libreelec repo version 4.2 web interface works.

without configuration present in addon_data with latest nightly build and there is no web interfacemaybe a bug - this are just builds from Tvh master - nobody knows if they work

I know it was working in older version that have Milhouse compiled in OpenELEC but in latest builds it does not. This is the smoothest I've had timeshift work so far.
I have however uncovered a potential bug. I've set timeshift to use disk only, but timeshifting eventually consumes available RAM on my Wetek Play. I've even tried setting the "Maximum RAM size (MB)" to 1, just in case having it set as 0 was being interpretted as unlimited.
I'm currently running 4.1-2047 from the builds at index - powered by h5ai v0.29.0 (https://larsjung.de/h5ai/), but have also seen this in the older 4.0.9 from the repo
When available RAM eventually drops to around 80M, the dmesg log gets filled with:-
[ 745.936394@0] balance_pgdat end zone=1, pgdat_is_balanced=0
[ 745.936528@0] balance_pgdat, nr_reclaimed=8
[ 745.936559@0] balance_pgdat end zone=1, pgdat_is_balanced=0
[ 745.936706@0] balance_pgdat, nr_reclaimed=30Once playback of the channel is stopped, all the comsumed RAM is released back to the system again.
The only way to keep timeshifting enabled without consuming RAM is to enable "On-demand (no first rewind)" so it would only start buffering if/when I pause TV.

I have however uncovered a potential bug. This looks like an an Tvh bug because besides the default settings and the path we don't change anything at tvh itself.
Btw did you change the setting and then reboot ? Idk if this setting is only respected after an rebbot. -
what is the procedure to update the add-on manually like kodi or Tvh Nightly?

for the tvh addon just download the nightly addon -> install addon from zip at kodi

Hi
Sorry for my english
It seems that TVheadend disables skip forward/backward,fastforward,rewind if there's no EPG data.
I mean:
1. If there's EPG data for the channel, you can skip forward/backward,fastforward,rewind, pause and play.
2. If there's NO EPG data for the channel, you can only pause/play, all other options are unavailable. -

thx for this fast reply
maybe its because of the kodi.pvr.hts or even tvheadend itself. I dont know. But without FF and RW timeshifting is not usefull at all. I m looking for the answer everywhere, even here. thank you by the way. -
Hi again
One of the team Kodi members said this timeshifting issue (I mentioned before) has been fixed for Kodi 17 Krypton. So When can we have it in LibreELEC? -
