Not enough RAM, no supported hardware, sorry.

I'm confused, according to the documentation isn't everything down to the pi zero supported? It explicitly talks about the pi 3 even.
-
Nope, all RPi with less than 1GB of RAM are unsupported. RPi3 series has different RAM sizes.

From wiki:
QuoteLibreELEC 10.x also dropped support for Raspberry Pi Zero and other 512MB RAM devices as 1GB is now considered as the minimum RAM needed for a good Kodi experience.
.
Pi3A has 512M and is not supported. Pi3B has 1GB and is supported.
You could try LE 9.2.8 which may be somewhat usable (as long as you don't want the latest add-ons to work).

You may be able to get LE12 to boot by reducing cma memory in config.txt - see here

add dtoverlay=cma,cma-256 to /flash/config.txt - otherwise devices with 512MB RAM won't boot.

But don't get too excited, kodi really needs quite a lot of RAM (esp for all the artwork/cover/... images) and it'll likely often crash, therefore we don't officially support devices with less than 1GB RAM.so long,
