ConnMan reserve IP for client MAC, possible?

  • I have LE 12.0.0 running and connected to my home WiFi with Tethering enabled and an Unraid server connected to the Ethernet port. Everything works!

The Unraid server can access the Internet and I can access the Unraid server using Tailscale. Right now, I can SSH into the LE box from my network but, when this setup gets put into production I will only have access to the LE box via SSH by connecting to the Unraid server (tethered and running Tailscale) and SSHing to 192.168.0.1 - the IP given to the Ethernet port by ConnMan.

ConnMan/connmanctl is brand-new to me. I had not known of this ability until a few days ago. The Unraid server should ever be the only device connected to the LE box. My concern is ConnMan assigning an IP to the Unraid server other than the current 192.168.0.2. This would break the sources in LE.

My question is, is it possible to reserve an IP address for the MAC address of the Unraid serer connected to the Ethernet port on the LE box?

    Thanks in advance!

  • Not possible. The tethering functionality is intentionally simple and originally created for a mobile phone hotspot feature so on/off and the ability to change the SSID/passphrase are the only options.
