As title reads, htop would be a handy tool to have in the default install.
Is there even a way to get it installed to begin with, without the staff baking it into the default install?

Yup, install the System Tools add-on from the LE add-on repo.
NB: The concept of a minimalist distro means; it's not going to be added to the main image (but hence the add-on).

Ah ok, thanks
Atleast if there is a way to get it installed i am all good!
How about bwm-ng?
How about bwm-ng?
Also in the same tools package.
Also in the same tools package.
I installed this system tools addon, which added this htop, that i can run from the terminal. But bwm-ng is not there
LibreELEC:~ # bwm-ng
-sh: bwm-ng: not found
^ Network tools not System tools.
NB: For any future requests, the contents of the various tools packages are included in the package descriptions in the repo so you can check what's inside without needing to ask in the forum.
OK =)
This one i have looked for but cannot for the love of addons find the command.
tree (command to display all subfolders in a folder)
I got bored in a hotel lobby this morning and pushed a change to LE master to add “tree” to the system-tools addon. If it doesn’t throw any compile issues I’ll backport the change to LE12 too.
