ertflix (greek tv)

    Dear LibreElec folks

    I was hoping to see local greek tv from ertflix on kodi but 1) there is no ertflix.gr plugin 2) i found a plugin on github (https://github.com/Twilight0/plugin.video.ert.gr) but i get first that tulip strip.module.tulip is not installed. i then try to install that from the same github repo but also that fails.

    Am i SOL? or is there anyone here who has ertflix.gr on their kodi ?

    The addon is not only unsupported, it is practically broken beyond hope of any repair. ERTflix has been reordering its content so often (in the process rendering the addon inoperable) that the developer gave up.

    Note that even the Android implementation of ERTflix looks out of order, with two apks currently on offer: a v1.90 with package name ertflix something, and a v3.5.9 with package name erthybrid something. The v1.9.0 apk is pre-selected by Google store but doesn't work, v3.5.9 appears in AuroraStore and APK Pure and does work (though I am not sure that it is ranked as #1). In other words, you have a 50%+ chance of downloading a broken APK, and that is official.

    Web browser access to the ERTflix site is OK, but this does not help the writers of Kodi addons. "Webification" of an addon (=python script) presupposes Kodi support of webview, and Google updates webview so often as to render Kodi implementation practically impossible. This also affects the development of a web browser for Kodi. Have you ever asked yourself whether there is still no satisfactory Kodi web browser? Do you remember the days pre-Google supremacy when there were two of them?
