RFC: Reduction of the download dir's to keep the Updater fast

    looking at this directory:

    https://test.libreelec.tv/12.0/Generic/Generic/

    I wonder what the benefit is to keep such an large amount of images around.

    Today it noticeable slows the Updater down.

    P.S.

    Clearly, it obvious is a benefit to have elder images if somethings went wrong during/after upgrade so one could downgrade to a prev. release.

    But I couldn't image that one would jump back several month or a year ...

    comments/thought/rotten fruits ?

    It's useful to have a large collection of experimental nightly images on the test server so less technical users can self-triage issues by stepping backwards in time and figuring out when a problem first occurs. Our goal is to store the largest number of files that we can, and that's not going to change, even if it slows the updater a little.
