V12-nightly: Hyperion-Ambilight-Addon on RPI4

Hello

I try nightly-build from 26.01.2024 to setup Hyperion-Adddon to send data to my hyperion-server on PROTO-port. Unfortuately my setup is currently not working on RPI4. There seems to be a problem with the image-grabber.....I always get the fololowing error in log: error <general>: CRenderManager::Capture - unknown capture id: 5

Is this maybe still because of some limitatioons on RPI or should it work correctly in V12? Any help would be appreciated. Please see full log on the following link:

This add-on is outdated. Ask the developer for an update. Search for "Hyperion" on this forum for details.

thanks.....is there another addon available as image-grabber for hyperion? unfortunately there are too many results when I search for Hyperion....

Use an external (USB) HDMI grabber, this is still supported by current Hyperion. There don't exist any working software grabbers for RPi yet.

Now I found a working solution by disabling "DRM-PRIM"-decoder unter video-player-settings on RPI4.....works for me like that...

In the end, after so much research, testing and waiting, I got tired and decided to throw in the towel because I couldn't find anything that would make my ambilight work in libreelec like coreelec does.

The other day searching the internet I found a fantastic system that DOES NOT need any add-on for the ambilight to work, since it is an HDMI capture device and functional with any device that is connected to said port. In this way, it does not matter which operating system we are using and from which device. Connects to HDMI and issue solved.

Here I leave you a link where you can see what it is and if you are interested, do like me. Buy one and that's it. I'm still waiting because shipping to my area can take up to a month, but I'm sure it will work.
