Issues with GUI crashing

  • Hi everyone. Can anyone help me out please? I've been using a pi 2 to record terrestrial TV and the GUI will crash when I leave it over time. I can still access the pi via VLC so the pi hasn't crashed. I have to turn off and on, and then I have to disable and enable the tvheadends server and HTSP client in the addons to get my USB TV adapter to work again. I'm running LIBREElec 11.01. I'm using a generic USB TV adapter i bought off eBay. It's using drivers RTL2832. The adapter seems to work fine. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks Luke.

  • Sorry for the late reply. Tried that and couldn't download addons from the libreELEC repository. Think I've found a work around myself. In the Keymap editor you can assign a button on the remote to reset kodi. When I loose the picture ,I just press that button. This brings back the picture and I don't have to disable and enable the server and HTSP client. This issue doesn't happen often, so I can live with it until it's fixed. Thanks for the help any way.

  • Please provide a full debug log.

How to post a log (wiki)

    1. Enable debugging in Settings>System Settings>Logging
    2. Restart Kodi
    3. Replicate the problem
    4. Generate a log URL (do not post/upload logs to the forum)

use "Settings > LibreELEC > System > Paste system logs" or run "pastekodi" over SSH, then post the URL link
