Does LibreElec have issues using a DP -> HDMI dongle on an HP T620?

  • I have an HP T620 thin client on which I've installed LibreElec. I've made no changes other that connecting it to my network and setting an SSH password.

LibreElec outputs video just fine over the VGA port to my TV. The TV only has HDMI input, the T620 only has DisplayPort output. I have a DisplayPort - > HDMI dongle that I used with a prior monitor and worked just fine there, but when I connect it to either DP plug on the T620 and to HDMI on the TV, the TV detects no input.

I hadn't used the DP outputs with the T620 before - as far as I know they function, but all my monitors and TVs are HDMI.

Is this a LibreElec limitation or an issue with the T620? If it's LibreElec, anything I can do to enable it/any confirmed adapter cables that I should get?

  • Go to the forums main page, click on the magnifier icon, and search for "T620". Obviously it's working with LE, so a dongle issue seems to be the right guess. If you want to know for sure...

Please provide a full debug log.

How to post a log (wiki)

    1. Enable debugging in Settings>System Settings>Logging
    2. Restart Kodi
    3. Replicate the problem
    4. Generate a log URL (do not post/upload logs to the forum)

use "Settings > LibreELEC > System > Paste system logs" or run "pastekodi" over SSH, then post the URL link
