I'm just starting to use my Raspberry Pi 4B to run libreElec/Kodi with problems

Hi,

I guess LibreElec will not boot from USB as I have tried this a few times and now given up...so now running on SD.

Can I "copy" Sd content to USB and run from USB this way?

Or will I have to run on Sd and configure a USB drive as additional storage, if so how do I do this please i cannot seem to locate any info on this about LibreElec.

you're guessing wrong.

Booting from USB works, but it depends on the EEPROM version of the Pi as well as the external SSD.

Not all external drives work. SanDisk were working for me in the past. I read that SanDisk are having filesystem issues right now (at least for Windows and MacOS.

Many others do work.

Install the latest Raspberry Pi OS to check the EEPROM version.
