Shutdown function timer – increase max. value 120m

  • Hi,

    I’d like to increase shutdown timer from 120 min to 240 min. Default max value is 120 minutes and steps 5 minutes.

    It is in a file /usr/share/kodi/system/settings/settings.xml which I cant change (permission denied).

    The correct way is to put it in a file advancedsettings.xml, but it doest work and I don’t know what I am doing wrong.

    This is the ouput from the file advancedsettings.xml. I am using LibreELEC 11.0.3 (NEXUS) so it is located in path /storage/.kodi/userdata/

    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>

    <advancedsettings version="1.0">

    <section id="system" label="13000" help="36349">

    <category id="powermanagement" label="14095" help="36387">

    <group id="1" label="14255">

    <setting id="powermanagement.shutdowntime" type="integer" label="357" help="36389">

    <level>2</level>

    <default>0</default>

    <constraints>

    <minimum label="351">0</minimum>

    <step>10</step>

    <maximum>240</maximum>

    </constraints>

    <control type="spinner" format="string">

    <formatlabel>14044</formatlabel>

    </control>

    </setting>

    </group>

    </category>

    </section>

    </advancedsettings>

    Could you please help me?

    Thanks in advance.

  • IMO you can only change guisettings.xml values from advancedsettings.xml.

    The settings.xml file can be replaced with an edited one using a bind mount in autostart.sh.
