I am having some hardware issues with my beloved RPi 4 and noone is selling new ones.
Can I get a Orange Pi 4 LTS and install Libreelec with no issues?

Have a look at our Rockchip sub-forum. Seems like LE currently has some issues on OPi 4 LTS.
I think Ubuntu runs fine, and you can autostart Kodi from Ubuntu.
So that's the workaround until LE issues are fixed.

Thanks that saves me time and money. With 4 other Libreelec in use around the house I would like to keep them all the same. From what the sub-forum is saying there is issue with HEVC x265. Most of my collection is x265 so maybe this will not work for my needs.
Is there any board (that I can hide behind my TV) that does work as well or better then the Raspberry 4 does out of the box?

With the latest nightly builds, the Orange Pi 3 LTS works just as good as my Rpi4, even for x265. Plus it has eMMC so you dont need an SD card.
And theres 900 of them available immediately on Aliexpress for $35 each. For HTPC use, I will never buy another Raspberry...
