Hp Laptop without inbuilt monitor, HDMI screen is blank

  • Hello there, I recently disassembled my old HP Laptop with broken screen, made a custom wooden case, custom heatsink and it did work awesome with Ubuntu on my 2nd screen (HDMI) then I installed libreELEC on a brand new SSD and i could follow the whole installation from my 2nd screen, now to my problem:

Kodi starts and seems to work, i can hear the UI sounds, but screen is blank, I assumed it just extended the screen by default, I can see the cursor arrow and move it to the left side to blind navigate through the menu. Already tried various shortcuts combinations (Fn+F4, F8, Win+P) still nothing. Tried also VGA, same.
I can't ssh as I don't have any infos from the system.

    Specs: Hp pavilion g6
    Amd A6 4400m

    4GB Ram

    120 GB SSD

    Any Idea?

    Thank you in advance! :)

  • Add "ssh" to kernel boot params in extlinux.conf and the daemon is forced to start on boot. You probably need to also add something like this to force selection of HDMI instead an LVDS source (which is probably seen as active): video=HDMI-A-1:1920x1080M@60
