AC-3 passthrough via SP/DIF is not working on Wetek CORE

Hey guys,

I'm struggling with AC3 audio passtrough via SPDIF on my Wetek Core since the very beginning.

Let me clear some things first:

• I know how to setup Kodi propery; My other setup with CuBox-I works perfectly on the very same surround receiver
• I was only able to get it work with wrxtasy build from: wrxtasy's OpenELEC 7.0.1 / Jarvis 16.1 major bug fix release. - WeTek Community Forum
• Passtrough on second/dual boot Wetek Core Android works, so it's not a hardware/wiring issue

So, when the movie starts to play, I hear short white noise/hiss from the speakers, receiver detects PCM (instead of AC-3 5.1) stream and that's pretty much it. Silence trough the rest of the movie. This hiss repeats after every pause/play or jump action.

If I disable the passtrough, I get PCM 2.0 stream to receiver, and this works (stereo only of course).

It never worked for me, not with OE (except wrxtasy's build mentioned above) nor LE, 7.0.2 nor alpha 8.

I do have an ancient Yamaha DSP-A3090, I admit, but they don't make them like that anymore, so I'm happy to stick with it. J Various other SPDIF based devices work like a charm.

makes sense, but no, it's disabled (and I think it's disabled by default too).
