Asrock J5040-ITX - LibreELEC 9.95.1 - No sound on HDMI

Hi,

After fresh install of the new version 9.95.1 I cannot choose HDMI as a playback device. I can still play sound through analog minijack but it is not comfortable. At version 9.2.6 there was no problem with sound through HDMI (I had to chose manualy in settings). Could you help me to resolve this issue? Please see below my configuration.

Mainboard: Asrock J5040-ITX

Host OS: Proxmox 6.3-6

For both LibreELEC versions VM settup is the same. I passthrough pci 00:02.0 and 00:0e.0

What happens if you boot LE from a USB stick instead of using it under a hypervisor?

There is no problems with the sound while booting from usb stick. Sound works simmilar as for version 9.2.6. Below I attached also debug logs from this run.

The official line is we don't support virtual setups and the OVA exists to support ad-hoc functional testing and dev work in vmware only - any other use case and hypervisor is skiing off-piste and is done at your own peril. There's a large jump in kernel version between LE 9.2 (v5.1) and LE 10 (v5.10) so my gueess is there might be some kernel defconfig changes needed.
