Cec + lg tv problem

  • Hi, I have Vero 4k+ and LG OLED55BX tv and want to use CEC (Simplink in LG terminology). Problem is, that the CEC (control Vero via tv remote) works for a couple of seconds then it does not for a while and then again it works. Since I have no problem with CEC on my previous tv (old plasma panasonic) I was thinking I did something to the HDMI cable when switching to the new tv, so I bought a new one, but that did not help. I have also tried numerous restarts and unpluggings of tv, vero 4k+ from HDMI and from the power, nothing helps.

Here is a log from echo scan | cec-client (from vero via ssh)

    Please help :)

  • Vero devices typically run OSMC. So why are you visiting LibreELEC's forum?

Also, please do not plaster long(er) listings into our forum. We prefer to have a lean forum server without clutter.

LibreELEC is used for CEC, that is why.

Sorry for that, it is hard to figure what is too much and what is too little. On the other hand, I really do not think the log could be shortened as it is the shortest log that captures my problem in full.

    Hmm... From the Vero website:

Can I install the same software and use the same plugins I've used on other OSMC devices, such as Raspberry Pi?
Yes. Vero 4K+ runs OSMC, so you'll be able to use the same software and plugins you have used on other devices. You'll also feel right at home as soon as you get your device.

So... Are you sure you are actually running LibreELEC on your Vero device, because LibreELEC has no software releases for any Vero hardware.
Also OSMC looks a lot like LibreELEC, and Kodi in general, but it isn't LibreELEC.

    Perhaps I'm just confused.
