HDD not detected when connected to USB3 ports

Hi,

I am new to LibreELEC and facing a issue.
I noticed that HDD not detected after installation when connected to USB3 port, I thought it could be due to the 5V 2A adapter I was using.
So I got the recommended 5.1V / 3.0A power adapter but it's still not working.
What I noticed is USB2 ports work fine but not the USB3.

Is this a known issue or I am doing something wrong?
Would really appreciate any help

First, what kind of HDD was attached: a 2.5" notebook drive or a 3.5" hard drive?

The latter requires more power, and is recommended to use an external power source.

The USB2 ports provide an average of 500 mW, USB3 can provide much more, but I don't know the details for a Rpi4.

Hi Klojum, thanks for the reply.
It's a WD 2GB external HDD I have been using with RPi 3 for many years without any problem.

Also it's working with the USB2 ports of RPi4 but not with the USB3 ports...

Plug in the HDD in a USB30 port, reboot LibreELEC, and get us the output URLs of the following commands in a terminal session:

Code

blkid | pastebinit
mount | pastebinit
dmesg | pastebinit

It should show something.
