Kernel crashing on RPi1 (v7.90.006/7)

Hi all,

Anyone having a problem running v.7.90.006 or v7.90.007 on RPi1?

When I tried to upgrade my RPi B+ (512Mb) to one of these versions, I've always got a kernel panic during the startup.

v.7.90.005 and all previous versions are working fine.

Do you have any hardware plugged in? e.g USB or "HAT" boards?
Do you have any custom settings in cmdline.txt or config.txt?

Hi popcornmix,

I have a USB harddrive with one ext4 partition connected and I'm using it as a storage.

So, I've changed part=... in cmdline.txt to point to that ext4 partition by using its UUID and added these 2 entries to config.txt:

safe_mode_gpio=4
max_usb_current=1

I just upgraded to v7.90.008 and it's working in my setup again.
