I'd wait still a few month until further SW development, but overall everything is working. If you are a "subtitle guy" - don't even think about replacing the Pi 3!

The RPi 0/1/2/3 have had upto 7 years of development combined.
The RPi 4 is a different beast, and started from scratch a year ago.
The 1.5GHz processor speed allows the single-board computer to compete with low-end laptops *UPSers*
I am waiting for a new hardware revision of the 4 and that the software matures a bit more. Then I will pull the trigger.
