Music and videos repeatedly not being able to play: "ERROR: CAudioDecoder: Unable to Init Codec while loading file"

    Hi.

    The situation I'm describing was already happening in a Raspberry 3b+ before. Now I've moved to a Raspberry 4 and the same thing happens: when I try to play videos or music, on an external drive, it fails. Sometimes, rebooting will solve the issue, only momentarily.

    Can anyone help me here, please?

    It's a pity this issue did not raise any interest.

    In the meantime I tried to install XBian (same kodi version, I think) and the problems seem to be gone. So maybe this is a Libreelec issue.

    Try to remove music database and populate it again.

    Because you can see lines like

    Does a file play directly without using database?
