Black screen with AVR

    Just curious and want to see if i'm the only one

    Hardware :

    Haswell chromebox and Beebox N3150

    Denon Avr x2000

    Panasonic plasma

    Starting from oe 17 i'm experiencing black screen when i stop a movie...need to reboot chromebox

    Tried forcing Edid as wiki suggested no solved

    BUT if i force gui to 60hz instead of 50hz problem is solved


    So when beebox arrived i switched of chromebox and did a fresh libre 8 install

    And the problem reappear

    I didn't try yet edid solution but forcing 60hz via gui now doesn't help

    Need to reebot hardware or restart kodi via ssh

    Finally i disconnected Avr

    Set again 50hz and tried several film (start & stop) without any issue

    I wil try switching cable, avr hdmi port etc

    Looks like this issue will never be fixed, since it only affect people with a very particular hardware combination: an Intel GPU + Denon AVR...

    8 months and this problems happens build after build.

    mmmhh lately this problem happens rarely (seems since 4.7 kernel)

    sometime i have also black screen at boot also with edid forced (maybe this problem is a bug of xorg)

    i'm speaking about milhouse build (kodi 17 and kodi 18)

    btw i'm sure that i don't have this problem with old Oe (before milhouse build with EGL mod ) build

    maybe anyone could open a thread on linux kodi forum ? (my english is terrible)
