Seems there is a memory issue.

Can you monitor the memore usage using 'free -m' command?
We don't include swap support by default otherwise I'd tell you to use a swap file....

  • idle:
    gEPd

    playing video:
    BOUQ

    will monitor with watch command..

here is another crash this morning. kodi takes 100% cpu then eventually OOM kill kodi.bin. seems to be related to hardware accelrated playback. remain connected via ssh:

  • One week without crash with software decode only. Consistent crash with hardware decode. memory never get close to full. Other than I can say that OE never experienced this crashes I lack the skills to debug any further on my own.

  • On 7.90.005
VDPAU enabled. I triggered this by simply skipping around a bunch in a H.264 file. Will try later to see if it can play entire files sequentially without crashing.
