patch to add support for Pinnacle PCTV310e

hello, i'm new in this forum. i don't know how to use this patch: : Add support for Pinnacle PCTV310e card - Patchwork to add support for Pinnacle PCTV310e for DVB-T and RC.

in lsmod, i see dvb_usb_m920x but in dmesg, i see dvb-usb: no frontend was attached by 'PinnaclePCTV 310e'.

in Libreelec terminal, i type dmesg | grep frontend, i see:

m920_mt352_frontend_attach+0x34/0x90 [dvb_usb_m920x]

dvb_usb_adapter_frontend_init+0xe9/0x120 [dvb_usb]

dvb_usb: no fronntend was attached by 'Pinnacle PCTV 310e'

so with w_scan, NO USEABLE TERRESTRIAL CARD FOUND

or with Tvheadend no card.

i know that it is an old tuner but it work well on W7.

what can i do please?

Do you use LE9 or some Mod?

Btw could you pls

Disconnect the dvb device, reboot, post dmesg, connect dvb device and post dmesg again. A lot crashes happen at dmesg for some reason.

With the procedure we can see if this happen due the device or in general.

Hello, sorry for the delay.

i don't do what you want: i try with Ubuntu 14, frontend attached Zarlink MT352, w_scan -c FR result NOK.

i make a new install of LibreELEC-Generic.x86_64-8.2.0-dvb-1.1.img.gz community DVB 8.2,

frontend attached Zarlink MT352, w_scan -c FR result NOK.

Some ideas???

1. Install official LibreELEC 9.0

2. disconnect the the Pinnacle PCTV310e

3. start your HTPC

4. go to ssh and enter dmesg | paste and post the link here

5. connect the Pinnacle PCTV310e

6. go to ssh and enter dmesg | paste and post the link here

OK, i try LibreELEC-Generic.x86_64-8.95.002.img.gz, test the 4 choices for DVB drivers but NOK for PCTV310e.

Uh the driver crashs, could you activate the LibreELEC default dvb driver, disconnect the device, reboot and connect it again then paste the dmesg link again ?

Something is wrong, the DVB driver keeps crashing but there are a lot other drivers crashing too.

The GPU driver is crashing 4 times and this is likely why the dvb driver is also crashing. Something is borked - due age of the Laptop I would rather advice the usage of Windows.

Btw you could try LE8.2 if it works there - its a bit older but maybe the Kernel works there for you.

i don't think that it's due age of the Laptop. i have the same issue with a zotac zbox ci540 nano and Libreelec 9.0 .

If i find a solution, i'll ask.

Maybe driver is broken, won't be a surprise.
