Kodi restarts when LibreELEC settings addon started

  • Kodi restarts every time LibreELEC settings addon started.

Reset of LE settings (oe_settings.xml) or re-install of the addon both do not help.

  • I would write a fresh image onto your SD card (or a different SD card), things may have corroded over time. Or some other add-ons are not doing what they are supposed to do.

If you want to share a log file, always post the FULL log file, and do this via a pastebin website. There is no need to clutter up our forum server.

  • I hope, there is an intention to keep the code running and clean same way as the forum server. Actually in the explanation how to report a bug there is no word about how to post log files, just that they are needed for debugging. And I still have no idea what pastebin is.

I already installed a fresh image on a new SD card, it worked about a week and then have got "corroded" again. I use standard skin and little of other addons. IMHO a crash is never ok, a message about an error is enough.

The crash is 100% re-producable also directly after Kodi just have started. I would like to provide a full Kodi crash log, please tell me how.

  • Please provide a full debug log.

How to post a log (wiki)

    1. Enable debugging in Settings>System Settings>Logging
    2. Restart Kodi
    3. Replicate the problem
    4. Generate a log URL (do not post/upload logs to the forum)

use "Settings > LibreELEC > System > Paste system logs" or run "pastekodi" over SSH, then post the URL link
