As far as I am aware there are issues with the kernel for the VIM. It is *hoped* that this will be resolved in the final release.
So alas, you will need to be patient.

many thanks for the reply. i am using on my vim1 balbes150 LibreELEC-S905_SD_USB.aarch64-17.6_20180122.img and it works. i just want to inform the LibreELEC-team about that issue. many thanks to the team for their great work!

I too have a VIM 1, so I'll be keeping an eye on development as I have some DVB tuners that I'd like to work. I would also suggest that you start using the official VIM alpha releases (currently 8.90.005) as these will auto update to the latest release.
