Random freezes on Wetek Play 2

    Hi guys,

    long time user and lurker on the forum, first time poster. Great software and great forum - thank you for the great work!

    I hope someone can help me with these very annoying, random and quite frequent freezes that I have been experiencing for over a year now and over several LibreElec versions. I did not post earlier, because I thought it was maybe some old plug-in or corrupted settings or a corrupted installation or something so it took me over year to find time to do a clean reinstall and be convinced that's not the issue.

    Basically Kodi freezes randomly, but very often 1-2 minutes after boot. The interface is not responsive and when I ssh into the box I see gdb at 100% and it stays in a loop until I kill it. At that point Kodi restarts and I can use the box again. Often after that it crashes again in the same fashion until I reboot the whole box, after which it is usually find for the evening.

    I have not been able to reproduce the freezes on purpose, they seem to be random, as far as I can see. I don't think it's related to any add-ons, as I have tried uninstalling more or less all of them. Could it be a corrupted file system? We power-off the box without shutting Kodi down sometimes, as it is connected to a smart plug and sometimes we forget to shut-off Kodi.

    Any help would be highly appreciated!

    Please don't start crossposting in an older topic. Having scatter replies is not helping. :o)

    I'm also seeing several add-ons installed that are deemed banned by Team Kodi. We have a zero-tolerance stance on video piracy. Something that is also in our forum rules.

    If you want support here or on the Kodi forum, clean up your act/Kodi, and restart with a fresh setup. Otherwise, you can find your support elsewhere.
